Daytona
Beach Welcomes New Development Services Director

Cheryl
Harrison-Lee, AICP, will begin as the city's
new development services director on August
15.
Ms. Harrison-Lee comes to Daytona Beach from
the City of Titusville where she worked as the
executive director of Community Development.
In that position, she was responsible for planning,
building, economic development, housing and
community development, and social services.
Prior to Titusville, she held related positions
with Ormond Beach, the Central Florida Regional
Transportation Authority, the Florida Department
of Transportation and the City of Orlando.
"I think it's a great opportunity,"
she said, in a telephone interview.
"Daytona Beach has all of the attributes
to become a world-class city. I'm looking forward
to becoming part of the process to help it get
there."
Ms. Harrison-Lee has her bachelor's degree in
Journalism from the University of South Carolina
and her master's degree in Urban and Regional
Planning from the University of Florida. She
is certified from the American Institute of
Certified Planners.
